Chapter One and Two are now posted on the blog. Meanwhile, Chapter Four is in the final stages and will be posted for Patreons soon. As a bonus, Patreons will also have access to a side story that ties into Chapter Four. Have a great weekend!
As promised, Chapter Three has been posted on my Patreon page. There will be some additional content soon in the Characters & Lore section in support of this chapter and the next one, followed in a few days by a character profile of Caslon. Please look forward to it!
It's been a couple of very busy weeks, so I've gotten a bit behind posting the next chapter of Shroud. However, I am happy to announce that Chapter Three will be posted sometime this weekend on my Patreon page. Please look forward to it.
Meant to be a bit of a teaser for Shroud, the prologue is now posted in the Chapters section. This piece wasn't initially part of the story, but was created as a prelude for what's in store for readers, and as something I could share with everyone. I plan on posting chapter one in my Patreon page within the next couple of weeks, so please look forward to it.
The new website has launched, and I am just about done writing up a short prologue to Shroud. The prologue was a bit of a last minute decision, since I wanted to share a sample of my writing with everyone, ahead of the first chapter.
In between that, I've been working on a very rough, manga-style sketch of Leviticus on my new Huion Pro610 tablet. It's been a decent quality tablet so far, for a beginner like me, and it was very affordable. I used to draw years ago, and was hoping to get back into the hobby, so my wonderful husband bought the tablet for me as a gift.
I created a Patreon account as a means to communicate better with readers, and to raise funds to expand the world of Shroud. Since I work a full time job to help support my family, I can't pursue my joy of writing full time, but Patreon gives me the opportunity to let my stories unfold gradually, with the hopes of sharing them with an active audience.
I also plan to offer goodies to my Patrons whenever I reach a particular milestone, as well as some exciting surprises along the way.
The idea for Shroud of Gossamer began in the early '90s, when the internet was in its infancy. I was part of a wonderful group of writers on the Prodigy bulletin boards, and we crafted characters that would intertwine with each other's stories. Madeline, the protagonist of Shroud, is one such character. Along the journey from their origins on Prodigy to the present day, some of my characters have evolved into something more, while others are very much the same. Shroud of Gossamer will introduce them, and the world they live in, to you.
